The preparation of engineering cadres needs sophisticated and effective educational and training programs commensurate with the rapid and successive changes in the information age. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare these cadres in a distinct way to meet the severe need of the labor market for them in all disciplines. Therefore, the Environmental Architecture program applies a new vision to develop the environmental architectural and urban education system to keep pace with future developments and face the requirements of the labor market in a good climate conducive to creativity and innovation.

The Environmental Architecture Engineering program qualifies for a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Environmental Architecture Engineering), and is enrolled in the Engineers Syndicate after graduating with the Architectural Engineering Division.
The Environmental Architecture Engineering Program (EAE) divides into two divisions on which the student graduation project is built:
Environmental Architectural Design “EAD”.
Environmental Urban Design “EUD”.
A graduate of the Environmental Architecture program is a professional engineer, as the program focuses on technical and engineering courses to prepare students for facing the job market.
Graduates of this program have the ability to prepare appropriate environmental architectural and urban designs and to carry out successful implementation processes, development, construction and operation of buildings of all kinds.
Graduating architects at a high educational level, consistent with national and international quality and accreditation standards.
A graduate of the program shall be a creative architect who has the talent, artistic taste and ability to solve problems and make decisions in an expressive architectural language that keeps pace with the developments of the modern era and takes into account the vocabulary of the surrounding environment
The system of study in the program of environmental architecture at the Faculty of Engineering, Tanta University, a distinguished study system and processions of the times where the study in the program of environmental architecture follows the system of credit hours, which is a system that is consistent with the global trend of developing university education and the transition from the classroom system to the system of credit hours. Where the credit hour system is characterized by giving a large space for students the freedom to choose the contents of the program he wishes to study, where within the program there is a great opportunity to choose from a set of courses and conditions that allow the student to complete the study at the appropriate time when he has the desire, willingness and ability without being bound to some extent At a certain time, therefore, the study in the program is dynamic and the benefit gained from it is relatively high than the classroom system.




The program offers a number of courses at the first three levels to provide students with the basics required to study in the program. In the third and fourth levels, a number of elective courses are identified and selected according to the graduation project specialization.
The program also provides the opportunity to join an international undergraduate program that includes studying abroad, where a student can spend a maximum of four semesters of study abroad at a foreign university as a partner in implementing the program and in accordance with the protocol that is concluded between Tanta University and a recognized foreign university.
The executive committee of the program determines the departments that teach the intermediate courses if any, provided that the courses that are outside the scope of the scientific departments of the faculty and the humanities, social sciences and general culture courses are taught by specialized faculty members who are seconded from universities, higher institutes and recognized research centers.
The student must complete 180 credit hours, at the first level the student passes 36 credit hours. He then begins studying basic engineering courses related to architecture and design courses in environmental architecture. The student is then allowed to choose specific optional educational courses in order to enhance and improve the student's interest in specific subjects or topics.
For each group of students, the program's executive committee appoints a faculty member as an academic advisor to help the student to adapt to the credit hour system, supervise the student's study program, guide and assist him in selecting academic courses for each semester, note his progress, and monitor his performance as part of the educational process follow-up.
The Environmental Architecture Engineering Program at the Faculty of Engineering - Tanta University - grants a certificate of excellence to students who have obtained an average grade of 3.7 or more in previous semesters and records this distinction in the student's academic record, and upon graduation the student is awarded an honors degree if he gets an average grade of 3.3 or more in all study years. It is also required not to fail (F) in any course for the duration of the study in the program.
